The Board of Directors of Huntingdon Valley CC is excited to announce the tournament dates for the 2011 William Hyndman III Senior Amateur. The dates are August 24 through 26. The practice round is scheduled for August 23.

After having to have cancelled the 2010 dates due to course conditions, the club is proud to continue the tradition this year. The golf course has recovered wonderfully from last year's stress and as long as there are no 'perfect storms' in the future, conditions should be as good as ever. The tournament started in 1997 being a continuation the Lynnewood Hall Senior Division.
William Hyndman III Memorial

The William Hyndman III Memorial has its origination going back to the historic Lynnewood Hall Challenge Trophy founded in 1901 and still being played today. In 1997 the Senior Division was established in the Lynnewood Hall and in 2005 we migrated the Senior Division to its own separate tournament "The William Hyndman III Memorial Senior.

Bartolacci & Brewer Win WM Hyndman III

A rain shortened event still brought out the best competition in the 2011 tournament. Tom Bartolacci shot 2 consistent rounds 72-73 to hold a fast charging Gary Daniels 76-73 to win the Senior Division.

Gordon Brewer won the Super Senior division with a two round score of 148 (74- 74) to win by a comfortable 7 shots over David Jordan & Charles McClaskey.

2009 Results:

Roc Irey wins William Hyndman III by one over Mike Dougherty & Don Ericson. Hank Schinnman wins Super Senior by one over Bill Spadafora.

Zylstra and Hullender Champions in 2008

Bill Zylstra(Detroit, MI) kept his patience on the firm and fast golf course and captured this year's senior championship by 6 shots over Don Ericson(DuBois, PA) and Warren Choate(Montoursville, PA). Even though the course played short, it was a challenge to get the ball to stay on the green unless you were in the fairway.
